I didn't originally plan on working in the fitness industry.
My background was in science and I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry. Like most graduates, I followed what I thought was the smart path financially and moved into cyber security sales, working alongside entrepreneurial CEOs and high-performing professionals.
From the outside, things looked good, but personally I felt disconnected from myself physically. My health and fitness weren't being prioritised and I didn't feel like I was operating at my best.
That eventually led me to make a big career change in 2016 and pursue personal training full-time.
Over the years, I naturally gravitated towards coaching ambitious men because I understood the pressures firsthand. Long work hours, stress, inconsistent routines, travel, constantly pushing professionally whilst physically putting yourself last.
At the same time, I was challenging myself personally, too. I competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, and in 2022 I decided to take on another challenge and step on stage for my first Men's Physique competition whilst running my business full-time.
That experience reinforced something I strongly believe now. You can build a great physique, perform at a high level professionally, and still have balance in your life. But it takes discipline, structure, and the right systems.
After years in the fitness industry, I kept seeing the same pattern repeatedly. Successful men doing well professionally, whilst feeling physically frustrated with themselves. Not because they lacked discipline, but because most fitness advice is unrealistic, unsustainable, and disconnected from real life.
SculptBySep was built to help ambitious men create structure, build confidence, improve their health and physique, and develop standards they can actually maintain over the long term.
